DEINSTALL OF ORACLE HOME IN 11.2.0.2 .

Posted by Arjun Raja on March 8, 2011

In 11.2.0.2 , there is a new directory created when you install the binaries called deinstall.

You cannot deinstall an ORACLE_HOME using the GUI option anymore.

To deinstall the current ORACLE_HOME –

export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/oracle/product/11.2.0.2

cd $ORACLE_HOME/deinstall

adrd:/u01/oracle/product/11.2.0.2/deinstall> ./deinstall
